Auckland, with 22" main tube and 17" extension tube, 2" objective lens with protector slide. Fitted with a gimbal mount. Peacock, a Glaswegian optician and instrument maker emigrated to Auckland in 1862 and operated from Shortland Street until election to the Council subsequently becoming Mayor and an MP.
