short upstand panelled back above two main cupboards with octagonal panelled doors flanking a recessed central section with single drawer above an open concave shelf, all raised on barley twist supports with compressed panelled bun feet. Burr walnut panelled highlights, captured ring and animal mask handles. Original maker's label to inside left cupboard. 1745 x 570 x 1075. Provenance: Reputedly in the Russian Embassy in London prior to WWI. Note: Another similar example sold in England also comes with the note 'This particular sideboard was produced in their (Waring & Gillows) Liverpool factory and was supplied new especially for the Russian embassy in London back in 1910'.
