A rare early 19thC straw tea caddy

'treasure chest' shape with the exterior extensively patterned, the lid opens to reveal two straw lidded compartments with ivory knobs. These straw boxes, tea caddies, miniature writing slopes, etc were made by POWs during the Napoleonic Wars. In fragile condition. 230 x 120 x 160mm.
