Includes the miniature of John Morris as a young boy in gold frame the back set with plaited hair, John Maurice and William Maurice were brothers, William had a son also named William born in 1834, later to become the famous artist and poet. The other miniature of John Morris's sister in gold frame, the back set with hair plait, her name is not known. 60 x 45ea. Provenance: a letter included detailing 'John Morris, father of Elizabeth Ann who married Henry Charles Holman (our grandfather) Married in Russell Ap.16. 1841...' $850
