traditional scrolling form with fine carved border bands of rosettes and tendril design, five repeating leaf design outer border, the raised rims carved with various animals including elephants and rhinoceros, a turned finial to the front of each, some damage. Length 265. Note: traditionally worn in wealthy households or by royalty within an area of worship. Provenance: Ex. an artist's estate who was resident in India c.1950-1970. $600
