March Antique & Art Auction

Auction Details

Welcome to Cordy’s March catalogue. We are pleased to offer two significant estate assemblages: Part One of the Bryan Jackson Estate Collection – over 100 selected lots of chemist shop items, whisky advertising wares, French furniture, lighting, etc.; and following on from February’s auction Part Two of the Bruce Kemp Collec- tion of Shipping and N.Z.R. Memorabilia, in addition to a broad range of other china. The Oriental Arts section presents a considerable offering of Chinese and Japanese silver wares and a jade vase and cover once in the Hartman Collection, New York. We have some fine wristwatches and clocks including a rare bracket clock by A.M. Irvine of Auckland; as well as a good selection of jewellery which includes an impressive 2.10ct diamond ring, a pair of Cartier hoop earrings and an Italian 19thC 18ct gold parure. Of particular note in the Fine Arts offering are three watercolours by John Gully and two by Ralph Hotere.
