Welcome to Cordys April catalogue. We are pleased to offer part two of the Bryan Jackson estate collection – over 100 selected lots; fire brigade helmets, toys, display vitrines, a fantastic selection of lighting including a pair of Blackamoor lamps, etc. this auction also includes our usual eclectic and diverse offering; a large museum quality shell collection, art glass, NZ pottery, Jane Brenkley items from her brother's estate, militaria and other historic documents, photos, albums and notebooks from the family of capt. Francis Brodie an awardee of 400 acres under the Military Settlers Act 1889, collector's porcelain and china, Chinese and Japanese silver, jade, ivory, ceramics. Part two includes jewellery; ivory, amber necklaces, diamond, emerald, ruby rings, bracelets etc, rolex wristwatches, clocks, collector's silver, a superb array of persian rugs. Another good furniture selection including 18th, 19th & 20thC pieces together with chinese rosewood, the art offering includes rare international quality paintings including a watercolour by Augustus Earle "Albatross, Tristan d'Acunha 1824", Ting Shao Kuang oil/mineral pigment on paper "Paradise" along with works by Barraud, Hilda Wiseman, Charles Le Brun, Max Gimblett and an important work by Bessie Christie "Knitting for Soldiers".
