Welcome to Cordy's massive November catalogue. We're pleased to present Part 2 of the Reid Estate Tool Collection. Our numerous estate and private vendors have combined this month to offer over 1000 lots including a set of the horns and skull of the extinct Irish Elk along with a selection of taxidermy; a fine selection of sewing and fascinating bijouterie; fine carved greenstone and scrimshaw whale's teeth; NZ pottery and glass, and items from the Modern Movement. Oriental Arts includes a substantial offering of Chinese jade, silver, ivory, ceramics, rosewood pieces. The evening session opens with over 150 lots of precious gemstone set gold and silver jewellery including a rare NZ made scarab beetle brooch, also Victorian jewellery, amber and tribal bead necklaces, and numerous gold coins.

Other sections include clocks and watches; Georgian and Victorian silver; rugs, runners from Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Furniture includes Georgian, Victorian, French country dining tables, chairs, desks and sideboards, Chinese and Japanese furniture, long case clocks, decorator items and lighting. The sale concludes with Fine Art including oil paintings and water colours from Tim Wilson, Michael Smither, Dean Buchanan, Ralph Hotere and many more.
