Cordys mid-winter auction is full of treasures from private & estate vendors. 10am starts with decoy ducks, walking sticks, a rare three-cylinder music box on stand, taxidermy, artefacts, swords, N.Z. glass, pottery & sculpture including a Frank Szirmay bronze chess set. The modern movement & glass sections have Lalique, Murano, Waterford, Moorcroft, Ruskin, the china & porcelain includes Royal Worcester & Doulton, the tremendous Oriental section includes fine ivory carvings, ceramics, bronzes, silver and so much more.

Jewellery starts at 5.00p.m. with a glittering offering of diamond, pearl, ruby, sapphire & emerald rings, earrings, brooches, bracelets & gold necklaces, an internally flawless diamond ring and a 2ct. diamond ring, clocks and watches include a Wakmann Swiss made chronograph wristwatch, a Mont Blanc chronograph wristwatch plus carriage and mantel clocks. The silver section includes Dutch, sterling flatware, tea sets, a Paul Storr coaster & provincial silver, 32 hand knotted rugs, runners & large carpets from Iran, Turkey, Afghanistan, etc., the furniture offers Chinese rosewood pieces, Japanese kimono chests, French style, Georgian and Victorian, chandeliers, garden pots and statues, we finish with the Fine Art section with works by Theo Schoon, Peggy and Ella Spicer, Airini-Vane, Stanley Palmer, Perrett, L.W.
