the top rim with long band of finely carved stylised figures, paua inset eyes, notched carved interior, carved from an old log section. Raised on a carved plinth of recycled rimu. Waka length 3100mm. Note: the model Waka with finely carved prow and stern post as two separate items that lash to the body.
