on that journey the signatures of the entire team were secured on a BOAC postcard. In August, Hillary and George Lowe toured NZ performing speaking engagements, in Wellington they stayed at the home of John Pascoe the mountaineer and author. During that visit Lowe gave Pascoe’s 11 year old daughter Anna the postcard. In a Sydney Herald newspaper column of the time (Anna's uncle was a sub-editor) the postcard and the excitement of the circumstances of the visit are mentioned. Further information available. $1200
