the mahogany domed case surmounted by cone finials, with pierced panels to the sides, carved plinth and fluted bun feet. The face with Chime/Silent and Slow/Fast to the arch above a silver chapter ring framed by pierced cast gilt metal spandrels. The movement with triple chain fusee striking on two gongs. H.380mm. CONDITION REPORT: Superb quality, rich dark mahogany case with high polish finish, Three small marks to the case: a 1.5cm impact lineal dent to the arch top, a tiny ding on the left hand bottom corner by the foot and a tiny ding on the front right finial (all photographed). The clock weighs 15kg!. The lock has a key that activates the tongue but it doesn't appear to engage in the mouth. There's no key for the back door. Mechanism ran nicely as I was watching it and chimed/struck (Westminster on gongs) as hands move through the quarters.
