oil on board, signed and dated ‘61. 600 x 760mm. Provenance: From the artists estate collection. Note: Fuller was a Hawkes Bay artist and illustrator. Born in Otaki. Graduated Canterbury School of Art 1951. Achieving many awards for his work, including, the Louise Lonsdale Prize for Life Drawing, the Queen Elizabeth II Art Award in 1966 and 1970, and the Norsewear Art Award in 1987. He completed numerous design commissions, including murals, civic sculptures, New Zealand postage stamps and children's books From 1953 he taught art at Hastings High School, Hastings Boys High School, Hastings Girls High School & Karamu High School as well as adult evening classes. Exhibited regularly in Hawkes Bay and throughout New Zealand. Works held in private and public collections in New Zealand and overseas.
