watercolour on paper, signed and dated 1896. 450 x 290mm. Note: Mabel was a pupil and teacher at the Wellington School of Design where she studied art. She was there from 1886 until 1897 (this work painted 1896), by which time the institution had expanded its scope to become Wellington Technical School.
