the lid with miniature painting of a royal couple, probably on ivory, framed by embossed leafy scrolls issuing from a crown. The border with raised facetted coloured gems in rub-over mounts. The base stamped 930. W.90mm. Provenance: From the collection of Gerry and Valerie Bermel (of Travis Antiques, Wellington 1950's to 1986).
