line engraving, initialed 'JBW' bottom left. 165 x 125mm. Note: Buckland-Wright was born in Dunedin. A self-taught artist, he moved to the UK to study history and architecture before deciding to focus on art, becoming a draughtsman and later a master printmaker. After WWII, he taught at the Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts and the Slade School of Fine Art.
