lozenge form, the hinged lid with vacant shield cartouche, the interior lid engraved 'This box originally belonged to the Rev. Patrick Clason D.D. ...'. Machine engraved mildly concave sides. Edinburgh 1849 by James Nasmyth & Co. L.97mm. Note: Patrick Clason (13 October 1789 – 30 July 1867) was a Scottish minister who served as Moderator of the General Assembly to the Free Church of Scotland in 1848/49.
