mid-20thC, brushed and glazed highlights, slipped terracotta body. H.230mm, L.260mm. Note: the excavation by Alfred Kidder II at the site of Pucara (1939) in the Peruvian Andes investigated the Inca period settlement. This bull also known as 'Toritos de Pucara' was placed on the roof for good luck, bringing prosperity, fertility (of crops and livestock), to protect and strengthen the families.
