the old tomahawk with attached card labelled faintly detailed 'This tomahawk...picked up beside...next day....Ngutu-o- te-Manu, Taranaki...fought near...Major von Tempsky...' together with two distressed photos of 'Major von Tempsky commander ot the famous Forest Rangers Killed at Ngutu-o-te-Manu.' and 'Trooper Birss of the Forest Rangers who picked up the tomahawk at Ngutu-o-te-Manu Battle.' Both in one frame showing water/damp damage. Tomahawk length 400mm. Frame size 245 x 195mm. Together with later printed 'Maori War Claims' documents etc.
