the woven hair bracelet with plain bar ends fitting to an oval locket enclosing a portrait miniature of a young man (33 x 48mm), in oils on ivory leaf. The locket cover (separated) with repoussé acanthus scrolls and small branches bearing berries, centred on a cruciform flowerhead, applied to a matted ground. L.169mm. Unmarked gold, tests as 14ct or higher. One small leaf absent and hinge barrel opened. In original satin and velvet lined, maroon leather covered box.
