butt and block base, paua insert eyes, tongue extended, holding a taiaha, two feathers to the head. c1970's. H.485mm. Labelled N.F.S. verso. Provenance: Ex. the collection of the Buried Village Rotorua. Established in 1931 by our vendor's grandparents, remains in family ownership.
