Lot Details
Admiralty Islands, Manus Island PNG, fine large flaked point in gum paste mount with incised decoration fitted to a slender tapering shaft. Some restoration. L.1640mm. Provenance: Chris Boylan Oceanic Art Collection ‘Parcours Des Monde catalogue, Paris, 2023’ (list €2800/NZ$5800); Bill Evans 2005 by descent; reputedly from Edward Pierson Ramsay (curator Australian Museum Sydney (1874-1895) personal collection. c.1880. The Jorgen Lotz Collection.
