the elegantly carved white marble seated woman upon a raised illuminated base topped with an orange/tan alabaster panel carved as an animal skin rug, the platform base with repeating acanthus leaf detail. 600 x 270 x 510mm. Old repairs to the base. Incised artist's mark 'C' to the reverse. Provenance: Private collection Waikato. Purchased about 20 years ago from a top Auckland dealer.
