Lot Details

with a short upstanding collar stiffened with thongs and divided at the front (see footnote), with short sleeves (right sleeve forearm absent) , and short undivided skirt (small holes, some working repairs) Provenance: American Art Association, New York, 23 November 1928, lot 126; thence Thomas Del Mar Ltd, London. Arms, Armour & Militaria sale – 07/05/2014 Lot 48. Footnote: The repairs and the leather stiffening on the collar would suggest that this was used in Africa in the late 19th century.
