Lot Details
Two-handled campana shape moulded with flowers, leaves, grapevines and Viking masks, each in three sections with octagonal plinth bases. Impressed marks Mauriceville Sanitary Pipe Co. Wairarapa, some considerable faults. Dia.510 H.890mm. Note: Mauriceville and the surrounding area was settled c.1870 by a government scheme that encouraged Scandinavian immigration. The Viking masks on these urns are representative of this history.
