Barry Brickell (1935-2016) wood fired terracotta sculpture. A hand built anthropomorphic form morphing into a hatted bust, lower section of the stylised leg form with curved base. Unglazed with natural kiln firing variation. Chip and surface loss to foot edge. H.1250mm.

Note: Brickell said at the time that these works were ' ... nothing more than experiments in form ... abstract forms related somewhere to abstract shapes'. This sculpture unlike most of his similar works includes the human form.
