Inside there are two clips, one on each hinged leaf, they act as a spring when undoing the clasp when opening the case. Engraved and enamel badged for The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE) American fraternal order founded in 1868, Very good condition and unusual. Fine. 50x30x3
