Aino-Maija Metsola is a Helsinki-based freelance illustrator and designer who creates bold yet subtle prints in which colors play a significant role. Aino-Maija Metsola’s Mökki (cottage) was one of the prints redeemed from the design competition organized by Marimekko in 2006. Inspired by the wooden cityscape along the Porvoon River, the pattern features lit windows in August dusk. Under clear lacquer on fibreglass.
