Lot Details
the knee section of three panels, the central one of finely fluted iron riveted with two underlying panels with gilt damascene patterning, a camail 'vandyke' below the knee and six columns of small gilt damascene lamellar plate and mail defences to the thigh section. The rings of riveted oval section wire intersecting plain rings. Evidently for the right leg Provenance: Private purchase Gisborne. Owner's note: Valued by Sotheby’s London, Sep 1996
