Inscribed to the top edge 'Original Sketch World War One'. Note: The sculptor LeRoy Transfield had two uncles who served in the NZ Expeditionary Force Native Contingent during WWI. Transfield's art/sculpture of which this is one of a very limited edition was the winning design for the 2018 WWI American Veterans Centennial silver dollar. See paper work attached. This bronze being the example given by the artist to his mother, then by family descent.
