Lot Details

51mm plain case marked 18k to cover and inner dust cover, inner cover with presentation inscription dated 1904. Monogrammed to from GGB, engraved with two crests (1) (2) above the motto 'Ob Patriam Vulnera Passi' (Having suffered wounds for our country). Keyless wind and setting, unmarked movement with lever escapement. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, rail track minutes, chronograph indices and Arabic numerals at five-minute intervals; subsidiary seconds dial at IX, subsidiary elapsed 60 minutes dial at III. Blued steel hands and centre seconds. Stop/start reset pusher on band at XII. 110gm (1) Out of a Mural Crown a Demi-Eagle Displayed, Transfixed by a Javelin - (for Barnes) (2) Out of an Eastern Crown an oak tree-trunk with two branches sprouting (the withered trunk sprouting again is most often met with, it being assigned to no less than forty-three families)
