53mm case stamped with Swiss bureaux de contrôle - three heads of Helvetia, c.1887, the higher standard of 0.755‰ for 18ct gold watch cases exported to the UK. The coronet mounted to the edge of the cover, set with native or mine cut gemstones (diamonds/garnets/tourmalines?), the applied monogram 'BG' set with mine cut diamonds and cabochon garnets. 3/4 plate movement, lever escapement, minute repeater with actuating slide on band at VI. White enamel dial, Roman numerals, rail track minutes, subs seconds dial at VI. Blued steel hands. 129gm
