inverted baluster bodies painted with four major hand painted romantic scene panels, goat mask handles, pierced covers with encrusted florals (slight faults). H.640mm. Provenance: Ex. a Wairarapa historic home. An earlier catalogue has their provenance recorded as: "Vases were purchased on 26 October, 1875 at auction, lot 369, then called 'Dresden Vases'. Catalogue states - Lot 369 Pair of remarkably fine Dresden China Vases 20in high, perforated tops, exquisitely painted figure subjects, goat head handles, ornamental with raised flowers.
