the lid, front and back carved with pa scenes, the sides with hei tiki motifs, the interior lid with a riverside scene. the interior lined with Jane's traditional wallpaper, signed and dated 1944. The lid with a repair. Provenance: Gifted by Jane Brenkley to our vendor's mother, c.1960’s. 640x 400 x 425mm.
