'Sydney from Darling Point', watercolour, signed and inscribed lower right. c.1875. An inscription verso attributes the view to 1851 however the prominent house in the foreground may be Etham, on Darling Point overlooking Double Bay, a grand house built in 1869 for James Sutherland Mitchell (1819-1893), a partner in Tooth's Brewery.
