the 'Ariki' sailing past North Head, vintage gelatin silver print, signed in ink, lower left. In original oak frame under glass, some foxing. 580 x 880. Note: the 'Ariki' (A3) was a Logan Brothers built gaff rigged cutter racing yacht built in 1904 for Charles Horton, Henry Winkelmann frequently accompanied him on cruises. The 'Ariki' is noted as 'the most powerful of the Logan yachts, and after nearly a century of active sailing, still graces the waters of the Waitemata'.
