QSA 9033 PTE F W LUCAS 10TH NZ CONT. 1914-15 Star and 1914-18 War Medal 13/708 TPR F W LUCAS NZEF. The Victory Medal an erased or un-named filler. Frederick was the manager of the NZ Dairy Assoc creamery at Whangarata and later the creamery at Kaukapakapa. He was killed in action on 8 August 1915 during the attack on Chunuk Bair – aged 32.
