WELCOME TO TODAY’S JEWELLERY, ANTIQUE & ART AUCTION. The auction will start at 9.30am and is both live online and a physical auction. You will be able to bid online in real time once it is underway. The auction will ‘go live’ half an hour before the start time. To bid you need to be registered for the sale. Once it begins you will need to click the ‘enable’ button when you want to bid on your first lot. Start shopping for Christmas! This month the first session includes: copper kitchenalia, sticks, duck decoys, icons, Louis Vuitton, militaria including a rare 18thC Scottish sword, Pacific, Australian & Maori tribal artefacts, NZ historical items, Len Castle, Blumhardt, Crown Lynn & other NZ pottery, Tiffany & Lalique glass, Skeaping polar bear, Moorcroft & more. The oriental section has a great offering of netsuke, tsuba, Satsuma, jade, Chinese silver, rosewood brush pots, & ceramics. The silver & art sections have been moved to the morning session. Silver includes NZ made pieces, tea sets, cutlery, salvers, and other collectors’ pieces. Art includes works by Robin Morrison, Ans Westra, Sylvia Siddell, Alan Taylor, Peter McIntyre, Kirkwood, Jos Kivits, and other national and international artists. The second session begins with a strong offering of wristwatches including Rolex, Vacheron Constantin, Cartier, Girard Perregaux, Patek Philippe, Omega and Breitling. A stunning array of diamond, ruby, sapphire, emerald, tanzanite rings together with earrings, necklaces, bracelets and more, an estate Art Deco diamond and aquamarine brooch, gold sovereigns, chains, jewellery must be seen and tried on! A selection of Persian rugs and cushions. The strong furniture section includes Georgian coffers, French style chairs, bed, tables, a good selection of NZ inlaid furniture, a Georgian kneehole desk, display cabinets, vitrines, French antique chestnut armoire, a great selection of mirrors and lamps, ending with garden statuary.
