A Georgian oak side table

one full width drawer, raised on tapering legs. (Purchased by our vendor from Schotten Antiques, England in the 1980s). 765 x 510 x 750mm. CONDITION REPORT: No receipt for Manfred Schotten, Oxfordshire (vendor statement only) Would benefit from a dark quality wax polish, polish is somewhat lacking and would improve patina considerably. Wax plugged fixing holes are visible in top as well as various marks and stains commensurate with age. These would blend well with wax polish. Handles replaced with sympathetic brass pulls, drawer is stiff, runner replaced, waxing runners would aid drawer action. Drawer lining is pine, some old inactive worm evident under bottom panel. Top sections of front legs flanking the drawer have minor splits probably from the top dowel fixings, could be infilled and made visually inconsequential with wax.
