Lot Details
the plain circular gong with raised central boss, plain frame, with hammer. 845 x 1020mm. CONDITION REPORT: Heavy gauge cast bronze gong with rich tone; the surface suggesting wind rippling water, the central plain nipple boss standing proud above it; the curved back edge with scalloped rim. Suspended on a light timber frame similar in shape to a Shinto torii gate, possibly hinoki (Cyprus) wood. Some scattered marks and wear to the timber but overall good.
