Lot Details
Clear bore. Barrel and lock showing smooth salt and pepper finish. Rear ladder sight graduated to 1000 yards. Woodwork with usual usage marks. No major dings. Stock, wrist and forewood chequered. Steel trigger-guard and butt-plate. Lock marked 'John Dickson & Son, Edinburgh 1860' and border-line engraved. Correct clearing rod in place. Silver insert on right side of stock with some lettering. May have been a prize rifle. Serial number ‘1533’ on stock. Provenance: NZAHAA, 17/07/2010, Lot 179, $1193. NLR
