Lot Details

21" barrel marked ‘N.S.B’ M ‘25’, British proof and ordnance markings. Ladder rear sight. Two-bands barrel, Knox form marked ‘228’. Plain percussion lock. 3½" bar and ring on left side. Metalwork with some straw finish to a dark brown smooth finish. Brass nose cap, trigger guard and butt plate marked ‘647’. Trigger tang marked ‘46’. Good full-length stock with a ‘Birmingham’ roundel, ‘Fort William Arsenal’ rounded and ‘11 over 96’. Usual age bruising. Swivel steel ramrod. Action strong. Overall length 36¾’ S/N 228. G+WO&C.
