Lot Details
Walnut one-piece stock in good condition with repair to forewood. Stock secured to barrel by cross wedge and front band, which also retains steel cleaning rod. Enfield-type sights, barrel inscription ‘Calisher & Terry, makers to H.M War Department’, also ‘Terry's Patent 30 Bore’ at breech, which has small knocks on nipple frame. Lock, engraved ‘Calisher & Terry London’ has narrow 2-line border and is crisp & strong. Serial number 8218 engraved on steel trigger guard rang, which has its nipple protector swivel but no chain. Sling swivels fitted to butt-stock and front band. All metalwork has even grey patina. Bore is good. In good working order & condition. NLR
