Lot Details

Lock marked ‘Crown’ over ‘VR’ and ‘Tower 1856’ Clear Tower proofs at breech. Rear sight to 600 yards on ramp. Metalwork a dark patina overall with minor staining and some pitting to tail of lock plate & hammer. Sound walnut stock with stock-makers stamp visible opposite lock. Small area of old fill by breech and 1½" wood repair on heel of butt expertly done. In-service period ‘NZ’ over ‘6544’ marked on butt plate tang.
