Lot Details

Originally designed by Maj A C Cooke and introduced in its present form by Maj Gen Hay (c1850). It consist of two wooden bi-pods with an arm between the two, graduated in yards with a sighting pointer and a 20 yard chain. It all fits into a wooden case 1630 mm x 170 mm x 110 mm. The bi-pods are W D Broad arrow marked. Manufactured by Elliott Bros, 149 strand. Provenance: Dunbar Sloane, 27/07/2003, Lot 444. $1000
