This auction represents a lifetime collection of mostly rare 1920's and 1930's vintage radios and speakers from the estate of highly respected restorer and radio technician, Neville Grubner. Collected over 40 years from around New Zealand and overseas, these represent the first home broadcast radios ever sold, and many are battery powered from a time when homes did not yet have electricity. Neville was passionate about finding rare and unusual examples from a pioneering period in broadcasting history and restoring them to working condition. With no reserve on any item, this is the opportunity to pick up examples of the earliest broadcast radios ever made. Please note, radios and speakers have not been tested and NO guarantees are made. PLEASE NOTE: These are second-hand, antique and pre-owned items, their condition will be commensurate with their age. Packing and courier options available at buyers risk and expense.
