'The Elephant, Milford', watercolour, entitled, 330 x 475mm. Note: 'Cliff was another of the group of eight people selected from the 5 N.Z. Teacher’s Colleges of the time, who trained in Dunedin as Art & Craft Advisers. During 1957 Cliff and I hitch-hiked up the Eglington Valley to Milford where he made sketches like this one of “The Elephant” which he later turned into a watercolour painting on our return to Dunedin.
