Lot Details

Three-groove rifling in very good condition. Sound walnut stock has been expertly oil-refinished some time ago with storekeepers mark on butt just visible. Brass butt plate tang with aged marking ‘S. NZ AC 947’. This number repeated on side plate flat. Rifle retains its chain and nipple protector, is fitted with old blanched buff leather sling marked inside ‘Broad Arrow 30’ but is missing the clearing rod. Lock marked ‘Tower’ over ‘1865’ but has no royal cypher. A very desirable 3-band rifle in better than average condition. Good working order and condition.
